I wish I never drove your car.
After you left I went to blockbuster and drove back up the same way back to my house, and damm my car feels SLOW compared to yours. I cant even feel Vtec compared to yours.
Hey Jimmy, How many HP did u get out of the VAFC tuned again?
I should look into a version 1 they can be had for cheap.
And I want one of those shiftknobs!
Damm you curry..
Thanks for the deal on the tires thou

the difference was that noticeable? so maybe well thought out NA mods aren't such a waste of money after all? i wanted to start getting some power mods, but most people here seem to think its a waste of money unless you're getting the blower.

My base power was 203hp/135tq.
With Spoon snorkel, JR filter, Tsudo mufflers, and VAFC2 209hp/136tq.
AEM V2, Hondata gasket, IK24's @ .040 ,Mugen header, Spugen dual Ti V2, VAFC2 was 215hp/139tq.
AEM V2, Hondata gasket, IK24's @ .044, Mugen header, Spugen dual Ti V2, valve adjustment, Mugen ECU = ???

Actually, I doubt I've got more than 15 hp than stock. It can't be the gears, since you've got that mod too, but I also tried to cut weight where I could without sacrificing the A/C or interior so that might make a difference in the 'feel' too.
And then there's the mystery clutch. I have no idea why everyone likes my OEM clutch over their own.

If you're interested in getting more n/a power, Hyper-X is leading the way in Hawaii for getting more for less ($)
I applaud his efforts, as I didn't trust anyone locally (don't know anyone who can do it) so I went the safe route and got the 'sure things' (Mugen).
Jimmy: you're showing some very good gains on your mods. It will be interesting to see how our numbers will compare come dyno day. My first dyno 3 years ago wasn't that impressive (201 HP).

Thanks Steve. My approach into tuning was to find a balance between improved driving feel on the street (focused at 75%) and autocross improvements (25%).
If I had the $$$ to go all Mugen, I would... so I had to try and achieve my goals a different way. I needed to find a way to increase power and low to midrange torque without making the car too loud. Well, I was able to hit everything but that last one... the Spugen duals are loud, as Duc @ Spugen told me the single was a lot louder than what I have.
Steve, your clutch has a heavier feel to it and I suspected at one point that you had some kind of aftermarket PP installed. I guess I was wrong.
If I can make a suggestion to anyone who plans on modding their cars, focus a lot of attention into controlling IAT's and ECT's first. The cost to do this is the least of all the mods you'll ever end up doing. The S2000's ECU is very prone to switching on the protection mode which pulls away ignition timing and richens the fuel mixture. Retarding timing and adding fuel = bog. By using a good quality CAI, Hondata gasket, Mugen cooling mods, it will help a lot with the improved driveability of your car. This also applies to the MY04 owners.
