Ok I have a question. Where does the government get you guys with taxes? I see that property tax is almost nothing, compared to Seattle, I pay over $6000 a year just in property taxes. So they must get you somehow. They always do. What is your sales tax? Ours is 8.8%.

^I can second that one...8 miles can take 40 minutes for me in the am, I know it's not as bad as for some but even out by the airport can be a pain!

it used to take me seven minutes to get to work in the am. starting tomorrow morning, we will see.
OP: i wouldn't live anywhere past Pearl city if you plan to work in town. if you find work in kapolei then definitely try to live out there. at the rate it's going, no-one from the west side needs to come to town except for upscale shopping, bars, real food, and the airport.
