Maui for Honeymoon
looking to honeymoon in maui in september.
is there a particular part of maui that better to get a hotel in (north side, west side)?
what hotel would you recommend on a mid-budget?
is there an airline you would recommend?
is there a sightseeing/travel tour guide agency you would suggest?
thanks,
ric

HI Rico,
Unfortunately EVERYONE on this board is from Oahu! As a matter of fact, I don't recall anyone from Maui ever posting here. Maybe there are no S2000s on Maui...?? Anyway, it's been years since I was there, maybe someone will chime in with some additional information.

It's funny though, usually the mainland owners of S2000's know more about Maui from traveling there than do the locals living on Oahu. There is one former owner who goes by the handle "darth_2k" that responded to a similar question months ago who seemed to know Maui very well. Maybe he'll chime in and help out.
Colin: we need to make a sticky up top for FAQ's for tourists to Hawaii. Especially for the outer islands as we don't seem to know too much about them.

rico: I've made a 'sticky' on the top of the Hawaii forums for questions about travel to Maui and the other islands. Hopefully there will be contributors in a short amount of time, so check back there and see if we get any helpful responses.

We stayed at the Grand Wailea. First rate hotel, I would go back there in a hearbeat. Awesome pools (world's only water elevator), huge tub for two in your room and excellent service.
Do a search for Maui in this forum and I'm sure you will find a few threads.

Agree, I stayed at the Grand Wailea for my honeymoon. Look on their site they usually have a 4 nights get one free or something similar deal. The Spa there is top-notch if you and your wife decide on the Romance Package for 2. If you don't mind wasting 90 minutes off your day, take one of those time share presentations and get them to pay for the Snorkelling Trip to Molokini and the bike down Haleakala.
