Default Magnetic Number Plates

Hi Hawaii S2Kers,

I've been working with Colin, Stephen and Jimmy on their SOLO2 number plates. This is what we have so far. I need to adjust shapes on the tach a little, but you get the idea. By the way, the reds and blues on black won't be as bright as the jpeg. From my experience, the black background will "fade" the brightness on most colors. Just so you know what to expect.

Whoa!! That looks a lot better than white shoe polish!!
Thanks for all of your efforts Avery, but I'm pretty sure you're only going to get Colin, Jimmy, and I to order one.
I'll bet some of the guys on the mainland who auto-x would want one if the graphics on the tach come out really good. We should take some pictures after you're done with this project and post it in the racing forums.

I have no problem if everyone wants to come over and assemble them at my house. Also, I mentioned this in the last e-mail, but I'd love to see the number in italics. It might convey a sportier look (or not) but I'd be curious.

Will the orange in the tach be one solid piece, or will it be separated into little blocks like the real tach? That would look a lot nicer, though may be harder to make.

Hi Hawaii S2Kers,

This is Jimmy's layout with italics. The tach can be segmented if you want. But the small orange bars might not last many cleanings before coming off. Actually, I have doubts the white numbers and tach "tick marks" will last long either. But as I said earlier, we'll make them however you want.

If we go with 12-14" tall X 18-20" long they'll look something like this.

That looks awesome! I love it with italics! Avery, do you think we should not go with the white hash marks and numbers?
