Mac guru's
Any mac users? I just got one new lab top and recently started messing around with the IMOVIE and IDVD programs on unit. With in several hours I got the hang of it, downloading video etc.., from my DV camcorder to computer to later burn to DVD. One of the problems I am having is video that was captured on my camcorder with date/time stamp appearing does not show on program when importing. From what I was told by tech support is the Mac program does not have the capability to read the data on my camcorder. I would have to upgrade to a better video editing program. Tech support said Final Cut Pro program woud be good and is the way to go for $1000.00. Dude that's pretty insane. I just want the basic like it came in my lab top but just allow the time/date to appear on the screen when making my DVD. Is there a way around this problem? Maybe add some aditional software to IMovie/IDVD to read the time/date info. Also if any of you that has some software in the video department for the mac, help the brother out.
