Ethel's Grill; local menu with heavy Japanese slant (no pun intended).

Marujyu Market in Waimalu; gotta try the laulau.

Diego's Taco Shop; I load up the shredded beef enchilada with lots of hot salsa, that way I enjoy it twice

I think everyone knows Eggs-n-things, but I'll post for the benefit of any tourists that might use this thread.
A little pricey for breakfast, but love their omelets. Bacon/spinach/cheese is my favorite and their homemade salsa is great. On the west side of Waikiki within 2 blocks of the Convention Center.

If you're a garlic lover, you have to go to Ninniku-ya
The picture doesn't do it justice but the bacon wrapped filet mignon smothered with garlic cloves and wash it down with a beer is my idea of perfect dinner when you're feeling like some guilty indulgence.
garlic fried rice
and escargot with... you guessed it, a lot of garlic
I didn't find a website for Ninniku-ya but here's a link to an editorial about it that gives detailed information.

I went to Kyoto Ohsho for lunch at Ala Moana (Ho'okipa Terrace) near Tsukiji's. I thought the buffet spread wasn't bad at all for the price.
