JG fields several cars and we know that Tony's car probably costs well over $100million per year. it was most likely a very important deal for JGR. home depot is losing their ass right now, selling off major business units, and taking a huge hit on their books. maybe their sponsorship package wasn't all that great.
as for Tony Stewart, he's a great driver, my favorite in the cup series (and probably in all of racing). he'll find a way to win, maybe not real soon, but he'll win. no doubt about that.

It will be interesting to see how the 3 JGR drivers do next year. Other than Busch, the prior quotes from Stewart and Hamlin appear to show some apprehension regarding this deal. They'll probably struggle in the beginning but come on in the latter half of the year. Tony Stewart is too good a driver not to win eventually. How long he can keep his cool during this transitional period is another story.
Anyway, can't wait to see how this whole thing shakes out next year. I love the comment from the contractor who says he will no longer purchase raw materials from Home Depot because they switched from Chevy to Toyota. Scary
