Still only 2 S2000's showing up at Autocross!! Come on people! You own one (or two) of the best AutoX cars in the world! No mods required! We really need some S2000's to mix in with the endless sea of Miatas, WRXs, and Minis!
Anyways, for those who couldn't make it, you missed a great course. Possibly the best course I've ever driven at HRP. It flowed very nicely and had all the necessary elements. Flying through the 2 triangles while bouncing off the rev limiter in 2nd gear was definitely my favorite part.
Smccurry and I both won our respective classes (SM2 and AS), although we only had to beat one car in each class to do so. All the more reason for more S2000's to show up!!!! Steve's competition in SM2 is usually a bit tougher than mine in AS as he's up against a seasoned driver in a SC'd Miata, whereas I'm usually up against a less-experienced driver in a Boxster S.
Nevertheless, we both had good overall finishes. Steve finished 6th OA/12th PAX (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm going off the top of my head) and I finished 11th OA/11th PAX.
Oops I almost forgot.....we also had a defector in our ranks. Joey Battista drove Steve's car for the first time to the win in EM, beating out 4 competitors.
