RR and get a DVR. Then if you have a PSP buy the location free wireless base station. And watch your DVR on PSP where ever WIFI is available. Has some issues though. But it's trick. Love to change the channel on my wife while I'm at work. 
. Sometime it's choppy. but you can watch all that you have recorded. Speed channel rules. I know the question was about Internet. Jus like one bill, well 2. internet/cable. don't get the digital home phone.

RR is 5mbit down 384k up, clearwire is 1.5mbit down 256k up
RR is 34.95 per month (less if u get a package deal with cable tv or even phone)
clearwire's pricing depends on contract (RR requires no contract)
if u do a no contract with clearwire its 49.99 a month $99.00 for the modem and 150.00 activation fee.
rr provides the modem free with the monthly svc
i think ill stick with my rr after reading clearwire's site

all i can say is cant argue with someone with their mind set.. and your clear wire prices are wrong 99.99 if you buy modem,yes but why buy? 5.00 amonth forever warranty till you end contract activation fee is free 2 year agreement, first 3 months of service 19.99+5.00 box fee, and you get 150.00 gift certificate. there are also prices from 19.99 for the not so fortunate person trying to save an extra buck.
not to forget it is for the "on the go" user you can hook up the modem in your car and drive to northshore being connected. oh and i beileve that when oahu had no power clear wire was still conected if you had an backup battery supply
and RR Ive been paying about sixty after taxes, 1hr hold time on phone cause connection always has to be reset on RR if running a wireless network. Cant forget about the 1 hour line to pay for your bill too!
all i can say is try it before you make comments. sheesh i feel like im trying to get someone to sign up for a multi level marketing company or something.
I just tried to refer you to a agent to get a lower price and i get two and a half cents from you thanks =)

If you want the most stable connection, get DSL.
If you want mobility, get Clearwire.
If you want speed and to be a little more cost effective then get cable. The big downside is, the connection WILL go up and down.

The wireless issue is the crap combo modems they provide. If you have your own equipment you shouldn't have to restart anything.
