I had absolutely no problems with the AEM driving in hard rain and big puddles. My S2000 was stock height though. Your bumper would have to be submerged in water up a few inches from the bottom for hydrolock to occur.

The Mugen CF intake is indeed a piece of art...I think smccurry and kekoa will both agree with me, the only thing not so perfect about it is the idling noise

I have the Mugen vented hood, and the noise is loud....and with the open vents, the intake gets dirty all the time...why didnt Mugen clearcoat it just like the hood? I dont get it

I ended up getting the Mugen CAI. I sold my Spoon airduct last night as a matter of fact.

I couldn't resist seeing Steves intake. I had to have it. Anyway I will let you know once I get it installed if I notice any gains.

Stu, when i purchased the intake I asked Scott if its clearcoated and he told me Mugen CF intake is not clearcoated

If you compare your intake to the CF hood, you will see a big difference, the CF hood is much shinnier. I discussed this with dan, turbo_pwr and he was curious why Mugen didnt clearcoat the intake as well
it looks shinny when its clean, but its not clearcoated

gotcha. I've only seen the real mugen cf hood once in person. I'm stuck with the j's style for the time being.
