Insurance Question
Sup guys,
first time posting but i have been following this site for sometime now. i've always wanted an s2000 since i can remember, and though i am in no rush i may be on the market for an ap1(all i can afford). you all seem like a cool bunch of guys(and gals) and im excited to join you all. enough of that introduction, i was wondering how much are you guys paying for insurance? or what should i expect. i am 22yrs old with one speeding ticket, no accidents.
thanks all,
-Joel

well if you get a loan and are required to carry full coverage insurance you might expect to pay 125$ a month and up. If you pay for the car outright and just get the basic coverage you will pay significantly less than that. Aside from the insurance ( which will always be the same price every month) make sure the repair bills aren't going to leave you immobilized. AP1= more miles = more likely to need parts replaced like the clutch, plugs, belts, filters, wipers, whatever.. just make sure when you start car shopping you don't let the bug bite you and buy the first one you see.. Carefully examine everything about the car.. That's my advice. Even better make a list of everything you want to check/ask the owner so you don't forget anything once you get there and get excited about yur possible new S2K

thanks guys. really appreciate it. dont sound to bad i guess. not like its a bike or anything. oh, and thanks istdercollen for the advice. im trying to take my time, guess id rather go with a low mileage ap1 than a high miles ap2. or even take stock over modded. but since we are on the subject, any more advice when shopping for a car. i was thinking bout bringing a compression tester and testing one of the cylinders but ohter than that is there anything that i should look for that will give away the fact that the car has been ill maintained or abused(vtec 24/7 for example). this car will be my daily, and i want it to last, or at least fail because of my own doing. =)
oh and if you see anything available other than craigslist let me know.
