Hell yeah! Forget what the Beach Boys and David Lee Roth said, California girls got nothin' on Hawaii girls. The best on the planet bar none per capita (of course, I lean towards the asian persuasion)
I love both Hawaii and California hunnies

Six figures is an awesome amount to be making in Hawaii. You should book your flight already. For the average Joe making $30 - $60k/year, it's really hard living out here and being able to have extra money to spend.

I disagree with Chris about the prices in the Bay Area. I visit there at least once a year and know buying things there are cheaper (clothes, food, etc.).
You probably go to Oakland where it is cheaper . Not the actual Bay Area. Cheryl even says the cost of living out here is a lot higher than Hawaii. Shes lived in Hawaii over 20 years and will tell you first hand. You also have to remember that tax here is almost 9%. Hawaii its like 4%. Big difference with anything you buy.

You're probably right on everyday living being higher. When we go, we buy groceries and *stuff*. For example, I saved around $400 ($1200 worth) purchasing salt water aquarium equipment from the Bay Area (two shops in downtown S.F, Geary St. and Van Ness) compared to buying it in Hawaii.

Yes the tax is high, but look at how much extra we have to pay for shipping so local companies mark up the prices so much more. I rarely buy large ticket items locally anymore because I can get it off the internet with shipping a lot cheaper than I can locally.

Sorry for hi-jacking another thread.

Quick example. We rented a house over in Ewa Beach on the golf course for like $1500 a month. It was 1300 square feet and 2 car garage and yard (front and back), 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home. Out here that same setup WILL run you anywhere from $2200 and up.
You cant compare Ewa Beach to the Bay Area.

If you make 150k + you should be able to do what you want to do when you want to do it. It aint hard living anywhere making 150k.
