Aloha guys,
Im writing here from NYC. I actually lived on Oahu for many years, but now am working here in NYC as a VB programmer for the last year or so. I miss Hawaii dearly. Just was wondering if any of you guys work in computers, and would know where I can look for some positions open. I finally purchased an s2000 during the Winter here, but havent had the chance to put the top down yet. I need to be back in Hawaii so i can drive with the top year round. Anyways any info would be extrememly helpful. Especially govt positions!!. Mahalo

Especially in the government sectors, there seems to be a freeze on many of job openings. The states budget is looking at such a large shortfall that they probably wont fill any open positions unless it is critical. However, it never hurts to inquire

Hey Vince! Yes, as stated the job market isn't that great. It seems to be picking up slowly though. I was jobless for a long time, until I looked into contractor jobs on the Federal Gov't side. That's where the jobs are right now. Take a look at www.monster.com www.flipdog.com and www.dice.com for opportunities. Good luck! Let me know if you have anymore questions.
