I still haven't had a chance to hook up Digital cable yet so I can't watch the coverage of F1 on Speed. I missed the end of last season and haven't been able to follow it since. Time to get Speed TV!!!!

Damn!! I can't go to your house to watch the race, Colin. I now have to go to work because one of the bosses from NY is going to visit my store on that day
If I was the boss, I wouldn't fly to another store and visit on the weekend

Too bad Steve. I guess I'll finish up my RSX video shoot on sat (and sunday if needed).

i feel sooo bad for kimi. no car/driver that dominant should have to succumb to mechanical failure the way he has.

but, do you think maybe he's too fast? this week he was soo dominant when he had mech failure, he probably could have gone 95-98% and still pull away from the field. maybe his driving at 100% is 2-5% too much for the car.

ok, i just read the race summary and mclaren claims that a mechanic's oversight in a hydraulic line caused the failure. i feel a little better for him now. still a shame tho

At first they said it was a bleed nipple, then Steve Machette (on wind tunnel) suggest it was a faulty dry-brake fittiing.

Either way, it's still a car prep issue. As for the "drive too hard" theory: people used to think the same thing about Michael Andretti. However the mechanics who worked on his car say that his gearboxes consistantly showed less wear than Christian Fittipaldis did. Telemetry showed he was actually the smoother driver.

Great race IMO. Things have sure gotten more interesting since Ferrari has fallen on the way side.
I LOVED the part where Jensen Button passed Michael Schumacher towards the end. If you told me this would happen last year, I wouldn't have believed it.
Too bad for Kimi and Juan Pablo. They definitely have the superior machine at the moment. No doubt it would have been a 1-2 finish for McLaren if not for Kimi's mechanical problems and Juan Pablo's crash during qualifying.

I seem to recall Button predicting it would happen..... though I think in his dreams, the pass was for the lead! I must say that Kimi and Juan have a long way to go before I forget about Senna and Prost!

^ that's very true.

FWIW, Jensen is still far far behind Michael for points. I'm hoping Honda/BAR can at least beat upstart Red Bull Racing for constructors points (9 points to catch them!)

Let's see if we get anymore brilliant predictions from Jensen for the rest of the season...

Did you notice the first picture in the thread? I guess Button is the Official Schumacher passer in F-1
