Kauaʻi (usually spelled Kauai outside the Hawaiian Islands and pronounced kawa-ee)
Taken from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kauai

That's the traditional Hawaiian pronunciation, but pretty much everyone here says "ka-why".

There is at least one member in this forum who lives there. It's a beautiful island, can't wait to go back and visit again.

Bro you are gonna dig Kauai! There are so many things to do there. I highly recommend to pick up the Kauai Ultimate Guide Book. It'll be your bible. Beach wise I recommend Queens Pond, West side. (NEED 4x4), Tunnels, Northshore, Good snorkel spot. Basically all the beaches on the Northshore side is Krips. Island is so small, heck check out all the beach spots.

we are planning on doing the zip-line thing, ATV tour in the forest and whole buncha stuff. most if it my wife is planning, i mostly want to just lay on the beach and soak up the sun. it will only be my second time to ever see the ocean so im really excited.
