Has anybody gone skydiving on Oahu?
it's on my list of things to do before I get married. Would like to do it the week before I tie the knot. Any recommendations of a place?

Haven't done it, nor do I plan on doing it in my lifetime but you can look here for places that offer this: http://active808.com/skydivingdirectory.html

I went to Skydive Hawaii twice about 10 years ago. I tried both, their tandem and solo jump course.
I highly recommend the tandem (where you jump with the instructor on your back) because it's cheaper, easier, and more fun.
It's more fun because you get to freefall and you have the peace of mind that the instructor is with you. On the solo jump, you're hooked up to a static line, so the chute opens as soon as you exit the plane.
It's easier, because when you go solo, you have to take a long and tedious course (for safety) since there is nobody to help you if you get in trouble (except for the walkie talkie strapped to your chest )
It's cheaper, since they don't have to give you that long tedious safety course. I don't remember the price, but I'm sure it's changed since then anyway.
One tip: don't go when it's windy. They sometimes go up when they shouldn't. A couple of times, I've heard of people being blown off the course and in towards the mountains! That's pretty rare though. They're not supposed to jump when it's too windy.
It's an awesome view up there! I hope you get a chance to do it next time you're here.
