Guys! We can have the barbecue at my apartment if you like.
The facilities aren't quite as nice as Rick's or Colin's, but there's a pool, jacuzzi, and HOT CHICKS!!
Well, maybe not the hot chicks, but it's pretty cool as long as it doesn't rain.

LOL, man, you are so me, when you hear hot chicks, nothing is important anymore..

hey guys, I have a question, since I am gonna be there for 2 months...
and I don't have any transportation there.. and to rent a car for 2 months will cost me a well-1600-USD... so, I wonder if any of you know anyone who sells bike or car for cheap... say... $1000? so, that will solve my problem there...or, is public transportation the only way I could go with ??

You can always check the local classified section for used cars/bikes here: http://starbulletin.com/classifieds/index.html

Mass transit isn't that bad on Oahu. You could rent a car when you need it and take mass on the other days. I always walked a lot when I was visiting as well. Depending on the area you live, there isn't really that much public parking compared to Mass or NY. If you buy a car you might have to pay $$ for a parking spot and remember you still need insurance. So it pretty much will even out.

Dan's right. Buying a car for just two months won't likely save much money. You could, on the other hand, get a moped. They don't require insurance, and if you buy it used, you'll likely get about the same price buying and selling. Theft is an issue though. I've had 2 mopeds stolen in the past. The police never did find them.
