Almost everything that is involved with the state courts and state departments is public record. In fact, there are a bunch of web sites that will search the public record for a fee. However, you can find these governmental website and do your own search.
This is the internet information age what was once available at the "counter" can be found in a couple of clicks, which is kinda scary....

just start at hawaii.gov, then go judical and then records.
anything that is in circuit court or district court can be found there. federal cases can be looked up at federal court
for corporate records use www.businessregistrations.com and use the name search
to see what companies a person in an officer to call bus reg at 586-2727
