hey guy's i got my gear's installed by my brother in law he does it for $250 and is an excellent mechanic very thorough in his work he's done all the work on all my car's even my extreme jeep (rockcrawler) with some major mod's this thing will roll over our gocart's we call s-2000's but if you would like to talk to him give me a pm then i will get you intouch with him mahalo joey.

did you guys need to buy the shim kit?

250 for install

do i need a install kit? should i just buy the install kit and yellow box from rick?

You do need an install kit. I recommend the set from Rick's. From what other poster's have said, it's the same price to get the parts bit by bit on your own anyway.
Are you looking at the 4.77 or 4.52?
