i live in waikele, and i work at the airport, both are near to the entrance, and exit so i get alot of freeway driving.

Compared to Toyota's our cars are "high tech" and have a slight learning curve. This is compounded by the fact that most people never look in their owners manuals (this is because they're hidden in the secret compartment)

Every car I've ever driven with a digital odometer reading resets the TRIP odometer by holding it down. Heck even the analog gauges reset by pressing down on the little stubby stick poking outta the dash.
I wouldn't call a TRIP odometer high-tech Colin.
I can't wait to throw that in the face of the next Toyota driver I come across. "My Honda's odomter is better than your Toyota's!"
On to the thread topic...
My mileage is pretty decent considering I rev it redline on a lot of freeway on ramps I come across. I have mixed freeway and city driving. Looks like 20 MPG is about average.
30 MPG?! Wow! How'd you do that? Coast downhill for 100 miles? Or maybe, put on shorter sidewall tires so they are throwing off the odometer readings.

Hehe, even the salesmen didn't know how to open the gas filler door.
I was still looking around for the "secret" compartment when I heard about it on the forum. I realized that I didn't have one because I knew about it already.
I was just thinking, "Whoa! where's this extra storage space I could use?" Didn't realize what people were talking about. The "secret" area is the compartment whose cover has the windblocker on top, right? You have to open the glove box to open it?

I disagree on the penis er Prius. IMO there is nothing innovative in the package. Just reusing the existing gas/electric technology already available.
The IMA in the Honda hybrids are a stroke of genius. By incorporating the electric motor into the flywheel, Honda "reused" a part we needed anyway, and made it do "double duty" (triple if you count it as the starter motor, quadriple if you count it as a generator)
