Hi, I picked up my car about a month ago so Im a total newb. Anyways, the front license plate really bugs me, kinda screws with the great lines of the car. I know that hawaii requires them so I wont remove it but Im thinking about putting in on the front grill. Is there any problem with that? Also, any suggestions to secure it? I havent seen any S2k's on the island like that so just curious. Thanks.

I have my front plate in the front grill. It fits perfect if you give it a slight downward slant. No problems at all, even in hot summer, bumper2bumper, afternoon rush hour, H1 west bound traffic.

no front plate. never got a ticket since coming to Hawai'i. Also.. on my Beetle I had a 1957 Wyoming license plate on the rear of the car. never got pulled over and I drove it everywhere.. it had real tags just in case, but cops out here rarely seem to be looking that hard.
