Failed Recon

Failed Recon
Ok, so I failed recon, the bounce test is what did me in. Now my safety check is expired. I obviously have to drive my car, what do I do? Does anyone have any stock s2k suspension they want to loan out or sell?

i dont think our cars can pass with oem suspension. scais2k is selling my oem suspension.
i believe you can drive with your failed recon while you try to remedy the suspension. check your pm about getting safety.

i was planning on getting recon also. right now i have the megans on and theyre like 12k/12k and they dont budge. im hoping to find another set of susp with softer springs and set it to soft and hopefully i will pass.
anybody know of any good susp with soft springs? i know that flexes are 10k/12k and zeals are around there maybe a little less and pss9s are softer but then i would need to swap the tophats.

i still say get it w/o the recon. you guys know what my car looked like. i got safety checks from various stations.
and NEVER let them do the bouce test on your fenders. just leaning on them with your forearms while working on the engine leaves tiny dents in the fender. if they need to do the bounce test (which we know doesn't prove anything) open the hood and let them press on the shock towers.

I don't know what suspension you are running but if it is adjustable, try putting it on the softest seting, that is what I did and I passed recon.
I agree with going to different stations to have the S.I. done but it seems as if they are really cracking down, I just got my truck done and had to peel my 20% tint off my front driver and passenger windows. It's really not a big deal to re tinit two windows but if you have a lowered car I know it can be a PIA. Ask around I know of a place that did it at one time or another, but I think word got out so they quit doing it for a bit... I'll PM you the shops name.
