The extreme diffculty of shipping to hawaii
The extreme difficulty of shipping to hawaii:
S2JK: $130 shipped? LMK
SCS: yea i can do that paypal 135 (to cover 5 bucks in paypal fees) to ********@aol.com And i can get them out tomorrow
[payment sent through paypal]
S2JK: Payment sent. Also, feel free to ship them the cheapest way possible, I wont be able to install these until after I graduate which is in 3 weeks. USPS surface should be the cheapest by far but takes 3-4 weeks which I dont mind.
SCS: I just noticed you are in Hawaii. I can do this 2 ways. I can sell you just the springs and ship those to you. Or i am going to have to refund your money, because it is going to be very expensive to send you these shocks to HI. Or you could send me additional money i was expecting to pay 30 shipping in the 48 states. but shipping to HI via UPS is 118.54 USD So i cant sell these for $15 . Like i said i can take the shocks of and just send those. let me know
S2JK: Try USPS like I mentioned, should be around $30-40
SCS: Priority Mail

Ha ha...you got my sympathy. Who's SCS? I just use vendors that don't give me all this hassle with shipping, even if it cost a little more. And they usually price match, too when they cost waaay more.
You guys have local shop/source for parts?

i've been shipping in parts for my cars for the akmost 20 years. i don't have trouble. like avallach said, just use vendors that have different shipping options. i ALWAYS clarify my location before i even ask for a price. doing it any other way is ass-backwards.
shipping car parts is easy. try firearms or furniture. shocks are a cakewalk.
