Default Engine and Transmission oils...

hey people!

I'm gonna get my first oil change! I bought some magnetic drain plugs and want to install those so I'm changing out the transmission and engine oils. (besides, Michishima san told me to.)

What kind of oil are the Hawaii S2ks running? I'm not particullarly biased toward synthetic or dino oil at this point. So I'm open to suggestions.

What oil weights are good? We're summer all around, so I don't know if that will affect oil weights.

Also, how much engine oil and transmission oil am I going to have to buy if I do get synthetic?

Thanks people!

yea i order honda oils from honda. you will need 6 quarts of motor oil, and 2 quarts of trans.
when you do go synthetic go for 5w30. its sais so on the oil rill cap and hawaii doent get hot or cold enough for extreme weights.

I would recommend going to synthetic. Be sure that you have reached Honda's recommend mileage first before making the switch. Your engine piston oil rings need to wear in first.

I'm using Amsoil 10W-30, Honda manual transmission oil, Amsoil in the differental.

don't mention oil around my pickup. it must've been well over a year since i changed oil and maybe over two, maybe 3 years since i changed trans fluid. as for the diff: OE (meaning that it's over ten years)
