you dont have to register in hawaii but you need to get a permit to run out of state plates. and they give a blue sticker to put on your bumber. i think its $5.00. as for as recon ticket. its only 50 bucks so its not that bad

correction.... 95 dallors per recon ticket... was 55 about 3 years ago, hehehe

Also remember that if you plan on getting recon, then going illegal, a recon fraud ticket is something like $267 while a no recon ticket is $95. I know quite a lot about recon (or so I think) so if there's any questions let me know.

I don't think a-pillar guages are even a recon item, which means they should be ok to have.
