Emissions testing/requirements?
Aloha all.
I'm looking at quite possibly moving to Hawaii around August and I'm wondering now what kind of emissions controls Hawaii enforces.
Currently I'm mostly stock, have AEM intake, Invidia exhaust and Berk test pipe (loud). What are emissions laws like in Hawaii and how are cops in terms of hassling "ricers"?
FYI, the car is registered in CA but I can register it in TX if that works better.

We have no emission control laws here, but we do have a stupid law that gives cops an excuse to hassle "ricers". Any modified vehicle must past a special inspection in order to receive a sticker that will help curtail harrassment from the boys in blue. I have never seen an s2k with this sticker however. Most of us just take our chances and hope the cops have better things to do than bother with us. Knock on wood!

the same. they are the law and military wont help. i went to traffic court once and lots of millitary people came in and got the same punishment even though they were going to iraq in a month or so but it could be just a lie...

but you'll probably have to re-register for a HI-registration.
