Does Recon affect insurance?
#12
It costs $15, and if you've done suspension you'll need alignment papers no older than 30 days. You have to call the recon place to make an appointment 733-2542. They only go by appointment now, no waiting in line.

It's only $15? It doesn't affect insurance? Cool.
someone should go F*ck with them and bring a stock S over there and tell them to recon it, and see what they say.
One of my friends with a Scion xB had wheels and taillights FROM THE FACTORY and he didn't pass recon because of his wheels and the STOCK window tinting was too dark.
Eventually, the reclassified the car so that the xB is now considered a Multi Purpose Vehicle, and you can tint it like a SUV. The wheels and taillights though? Recon still too stupid to understand.

Recon IS stupid. Even though the wheels are from the factory, they don't comply with recon law. The Scion accessories are dealer installed but still require recon. Some cars won't pass recon from the factory, like a corvette, because the suspension is too stiff, license plate is too low, fog lights too low, etc. But there's nothing we can do about it.

That's smart advice from our sinful angel. The cops will definitely confiscate your papers if they feel you're in violation. I've heard too many stories.
