Hi everyone the baby's name is Cory Mu Tze Lu (middle name means compasionate). As Rick said he was born 2am on April 5, 2003 did I get that date right? He was born at Kapiolani hospital which by the way has the best facilities and the staff there was top notch.
Thanks to Rick and Roxanne for coming by the hospital, I am sorry that we had to end the visit early, the baby's gotta eat when the baby's gotta eat.
Cory and Chrysti are doing great for the most part. I'm the one who needs help. Short stroy... The nursing staff takes the baby out of our rooms at about midnight. They take the baby to the nursery where they clean him up, and take temperature and measurements etc. And at about 3 o'clock they come back and mom feeds the baby. Well this morning I woke up at about 4am to find out that there is no baby in the room! So I rush over to the nursery to find that he is there sleeping. It turns out that the nurse did come back to our room. When she did she found us sound asleep. So she decided to take Cory back to the nursery for him to rest there. To make this story funnier, my hair was a mess, I could barely see, and was still in my pajamas. The nurses knew right away that I was a first time dad.
And yes I tried for chewbaka, yoda, widget but those names got shot down, oh well. We will call him that with out his mom knowing.
But we just got home and things are going very well.
Good luck to you Dan and your wife, having a baby has just a been tremendous blessing to our lives.

Just a quick explaination... Cory had a hard time maintaining his body temperature. So for the first two days we really had to wrap him up and keep him warm. Infact there were two seperate times where he was under a baby warmer to help him out.
Just FYI Dan. 70 degrees in the middle of the afternoon would be freezing in Hawaii! Its actually like 85 degrees today. Better get used to it, soon you will be here and sweating like the rest of us!
By the way when is Monique due? Pretty soon huh?
