i thought installation was around $500.00
Thanks for the info...
Well, you were right. The going rate for installation with the three shops I priced were in the $500-600 dollar range.

My throwout bearing finally arrived so I can make my appt. for installation next week. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

@ kent-k and jzz30

THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR HOOKING ME UP/RECOMMENDING SONICS!

Great price, and great bunch of guys. I am absolutely loving my new clutch flywheel set-up. It's like torture all over again with the break-in period because I want to open it up and vtec through all gears, but must wait ( I still need 450 miles )

No. I'm at 185 miles.
But I have to say that I am absolutely loving it! Of course I haven't done any hard launches yet, but the throttle response has improved, and I find myself revving it up until vtec just to hear/feel it. I don't feel like it lost any driveability at all. Revs don't drop too fast like many people had warned of. Feels GREAT!! I can't wait to take it to autocross next month.
Remember that I have some free-breathing mods (and gears) that probably accentuate these characteristics so YMMV. (namely, mugen intake and header, test pipe, J's N1 single exhaust and 4.44 final gear). I kind of wish I got the 4.77 now...
Did I mention that it revs up really fast?

I would have gone with a 4.7 final drive gear. You'd be pulling hard in all six gears.

from hardtopguy.com
OEM disc = $89.41
Throwout bearing = $81.42
Shipping = $39.64 (2nd day air)

4.44 gears are from Rick's (this is before the 4.57 was available)
I would highly recommend the 4.57 or 4.7
It changes the feel of the car completely.

You might want to go with the package deal that hardtopguy.com has on the ACT pressure plate, OEM friction disk, throwout bearing, and Comptech flywheel. It's a great price. Something like 30% off for the whole set. Click here ----->

Hey puugee, how ya doin'?
I do wish I got the 4.7 now.
What's new with your RSX? We were even power at the dyno last time. Any new surprises for us?
