The tornado coverage was cool, but I also got a video shot of our Solo 2 most handsome driver (Avery).
Onto more interesting subjects...
NEWS FLASH!
"Solo 2 autocrossers in Hawaii held their first event of 2004 on January 25th at Hawaii Raceway Park, fearing possible bad weather and heavy rains. The event proved otherwise allowing everyone to have their turn destroying all of the orange cones combined with a long but tight course.
The Subaru's were out in full force, and 1 particular STI made the transition from being in AS class to ESP and is the focus of this month's article. Forget Aiko Tanaka, forget Jenna Jameson... take a look at the hottest import car model of 2004!
Check out the curves on that one!

Dammit! I completely forgot to mention 1 more important element of this months autocross...
There was a new Rio S2000 (MY04) that showed up making a total of 4 drivers! Mark Lane got a chance to toss the car around and really explore what the car can do. He said to me that the car was very stable and so quick to accelerate that he'd run out of gear very easily. His first time out with the car on stock everything netted him a 79 second run including the 1 cone that was hit. I took notice of him smiling a lot, taking a lot of photos with that huge camera... obviously having a blast! Since we run in the same class, I wasn't able to see him drive or get him on my camcorder.
I hope there's more new faces that show up in 2 weeks!
