Default Autocross at HRP this Sunday Aug 10th

Sup guys and gals,

Well it's time again to take the car out to flatten more cones. We should see at least 3 of them I think...

1. Joey with his track setup S2000, totally evil with a crazed driver.

2. Stephen with his new helmet, gears and new LED's.

3. Jimmy (das me) with new tires and a Mugen Oil cap (nah, j/k).

Hopefully more of you guys can come down, if you have time to join in or watch the event... if you need more info or have any questions, you can PM or call me on my cell @ 396-7356.

It's been way too long since the last event and I'm hoping to break into much lower numbers and achieve a better PAX standing than I could using the OEM tires.

Note: Maybe the "old guy" might wanna come out of retirement and show us young dogs how to do it! (nah, j/k)

New LED's?

I hope the course set-up favors my gears
Hey Colin, did you order the race rubber yet? I still didn't get a chance to change my camber settings. I guess that's good in a way. I'll get one more autocross under my belt with the stock rubber and settings.

There will be one more S2000 there to observe, and I'll bet he'll want to run the next time after that.

Jimmy, what time are you heading down there? 8 a.m.?

I'm going to head out at 8am with my friend coming from Pearl City in his Camry. Usually the gates are still closed but Curtis and the crew has been out there early to test out the timing equipment as it has caused some serious delays in our last event. I like to get there early to sign up for the earlier heats (hopefully they won't run stock cars in the last heat) or at least get first choice in choosing the work positions.

Last month was a very, very long event. Joey could tell you that some of the guys fell asleep under their cars to keep cool because it was that long of a delay in Heat #3... and I was working that %#@! heat.

I always head to the 7-11 in Kapolei to pickup Gatorade and stuff before heading out to HRP.

Stephen, give me a call on my home phone when you're ready to leave home. We still need to install the camera mount in your car so we can record your runs. We can do this before we head to the track. I do need to swing by longs or walmart and get a pack of mini dv tapes.

W-wait, whaaat? Does this mean that the seasoned veteran may be joining us underlings tomorrow? Could it be that someone's making his comeback by coming out of retirement?

I need to calm down, I think I'm getting a hard-on.
