Default Anyone in Oahu?

Hey, I'm going to be in Hawaii 1/16-1/23 and was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on what I can do while I'm there? Good clubs, restaurants, things to do, surf spots, etc etc.

I'm staying in Waikiki and I've never been to Hawaii before. I surf here in Cali, but I don't think I can handle any waves over overhead and a half...so if you know any good midsize breaks please fill me in!

Thanks!

We have a wide range of age and other interest of the S2k owners here in Hawaii. I believe if you put your age down and times you are free (Are you going to be here on business or vacation?) then you might get responses as to what clubs you might want to visit.

You can rent surf boards in Waikiki, but in January the waves are non existent or very small on the South shore (Waikiki). They are Huge on the North shore. You might just want to drive out there to check them out.

Aloha,
Mike (Vintage)

Min, not sure how good of a surfer you are, but I'm pretty sure you don't want to test your skills in Hawaii unless you have a local take you out. The waves are insanely powerful and the reef will hurt you if you don't know what you're doing. Its not a sandy bottom like LA.

As for clubs, you should check out Pipeline, Zanzabar, and Ocean's. I'll check all 3 for you next week when I visit

Ok, maybe this helps:

I'm 25. I'm there on vacation but it is actually a company paid vacation where my entire company is going. The guys I'll be hanging with are all 25-29 and I'm the best surfer among them, and I'm not all that great. But I RARELY eat it bad and doubt I'd hit the bottom so long as the water was 4 feet or deeper.

I know for sure I don't want to surf anything that is overhead and half or bigger...I'd like to come home from hawaii in a plane seat and not in a coffin

I'll be out in Oahu visiting my aunt and uncle December 18th-January 2nd and was wondering if you guys were having any meets or anything during the holidays. I've been to Oahu a few times, but haven't been since 97. Looking forward to some R and R
