as some of you may know i had a small hole in my soft top, honda said that they wouldnt replace it, only repair it. well, it looks like shit. the glue they used is like rubber cement or something its all shiney, looks brown, and we all know that our tops are black. 
im very upset at this time, im looking for a 02+ top to replace my curent messed up 00 top.
i already PM'd jeff Aka Hardtop guy, for a quote.
does anyone have a hookup at honda locally? Colin? chris? anyone??
i advise any of you if you have a small rip in your top DO NOT let them send it out to be repaired.
i will be writing a letter to american honda complete with pictures, as i can believe that they would even think this is an accecptable fix for this problem.
im very tired of dealing with them as it took 2 months to even get them to agree to fix it.

truthfully am i over reacting, should i just say screw it and buy a new top on my own? my warranty expired 1 month ago, i made the claim 2 months prior to the warranty expired. they acted like it was my fault that the top ripped.

I don't know, but that looks pretty bad. If you made the claim before the warranty expierd, I'd think they should replace the top. HOWEVER, caution is advised here. If there is no history of top failures in that area, they may suspect you are trying to "scam" a new top and did something to cause the failure. I'm not saying this is the case, but I'd suggest you get the Honda district rep involved in this decision.

im going back down today to talk to the svc advisor...... i had tried to get teh district rep involved last time, i was told he would be there, i got there he wasnt. =(

My top has to come out when the roll cage goes in. Its an 01 top in near perfect condtion. It will not fit with the cage. How bad is your softtop? Cant see pics. Also try and talk to Roy at Honda Windward. He is one of my friends and hopefully can get you a good deal on an 02 or 03 top.
