have any of you guys had to take your car in for repairs under warranty? are any dealers better than others when it comes to dealing with these matters? please post any of your positive or negative experiences.

I had a dash rattle that was really pissing me off. I took it to Windward and I was really happy with the service. Not many dealerships will actually take the time to find a dash rattle and fix it. They ended up taking the whole dash apart and reinsulating it, and the rattle was still there so they took apart the airbag assembly and tightened everything down and that took care of it. Told me if it comes back they'll replace the airbag assembly. They got me a loaner car for the day it was in the shop too.

I work for Pflueger, and I can echo what Mike said about windward. This is not to say we don't do a good job, but I think they might be more consistantly good. My experiance was pretty interesting. It was back in 2001 and we were running our Silverstone car in the SCCA runoffs. Fran had a spin before I was to run and it may have caused the belt tensioner spring to break. This caused slack in the water pump belt and the car started bubbling coolant out of the reservour tank. One of our fellow racers was also a service manager at windward. We piled into his truck, drove to windward honda (from barbers point) and took a tensioner off a new S2000 on the showroom floor. We ran back to barbers point, installed the part and I went racing in the afternoon! A day later, I swung by the store to sign the warranty work order so they could paid for the repair. Pretty good service if you ask me.

damn sounds like Windward has top notch customer service! i wish you guys had posted earlier. i already scheduled an appt at Tony Honda for tomorrow. i'll see if they give me crap about my warranty, and if so you can bet i'll be headed out to the windward side.

btw - Colin were you and Fran at Iwilei Costco this evening?
