Anybody remember SpeedVision?
Speed Channel is getting worse every year with all the NASCAR and the 50 other shows talking about NASCAR. They dropped WRC last year and air even less of the last few series worth watching, GRAND AM and SCCA Speed World Challenge. Im sure it wont be long before they change the name to ALL FUKING DAY NASCAR TV.
Well the dude that started Speed Vision (this is what it was before it was sold and became Speed Channel) is trying to start another racing channel that will bring back road racing, ralley, and other motorsports were cars also make right turns. He wants to see support to show potential sponsors for the new channel. If your interested all you have to do is click a button on his site, you dont have to commit or signup for anything, just show that your interested. This was in AutoWeek mag so im sure its legit.

honestly, SPEEDTV is ok. yes they dropped WRC, but it was getting boring anyhow (and i adore WRC). they have f1 practice, qual, and racing. much more than any other network has ever done. they have gp2, and some star mazda. nhra coverage too. AMA motocross, supercross, roadracing. they got MOTOGP, superbike, isle of man. rolex, american lemans, speed GT, and the runoffs. they even have sprint/usac cars, they knoxvillle nationals was on the other week, something you'dnever see on another channel. they have corr offroad, and baja coverage. they have powerboat racing too.
yes, they play alot of nascar, which i love to watch too, but you know that nascar pays the bills, so use the dvr and record all of the good racing that they DO have. i will gladly welcome another racing channel because i love racing, allracing, even the lawnmower nationals. but i find, that the only people that complain about speedchannel's nacsar coverage only care about roadracing and not the other, just as exciting series.

Im not a NASCAR fan at all but I will watch it when there roadracing. What they should do is come out with a Speed Channel 2, to cover more of the other stuff, like roadracing.

I miss the WRC, and all the SCCA stuff the had. NASCAR is okay for the big races but anymore I don't even watch those. I like watching Spike on Saturday mornigs, and Turbo Thursdays on TLC, that is the best (IMO) on TV right now. I don't think any channel is televising anything SpeedVision did in the past.
