OMG, how barbaric today! A whole day without internet, TV and AIR CONDITIONING. I was a litte worried that the things on the shelves over our cars might have fallen, but fortunately this was not the case.
The lamp in my TV is out, it's three years old, and was probably due for replacement soon, but I doubt its a total coincidence that there were power outages and the failure of a $250 light bulb in the same day!

Wow I think I'm one of the last people to get power back. It's almost 1am on Monday and the power just came on not too long ago. I was on the 28th floor of the Sheraton hotel when it happened, and I had to WALK all the way down!

No A/C in 87% humidity sucked! Seen a lot of pictures of structual damages to many homes, roads, huge boulders, and the big landslide that happened in Kona. I'm glad that the epicenter wasn't as close to Oahu as it was on the Big Island where more damage could've happend. Main thing is that everyone back home is safe and no injuries.
Elicit, how's your fam back home? Hope things are doing well for them. My aunt's house in Kaloko got rocked quite a bit. Well hope everyone is safe.

i went straight to work when the earthquake hit. didn't get home till 2:45 monday morning. the power came back on at the factory around 1:30am and it took another hour to fire up all of the refridgeration and a/c units. also had to check the voltage on every circuit in the plant because HECO once sent us 600volts after a blackout before.
and i'm back to work at 5:30. i'm sooooo sleepy.
