I built a .308 caliber suppressor (silencer) for my .300 Whisper AR upper. I thought you Mid-A gun guys might be interested. I do have a BATFE Form 1 with tax stamp for the suppressor.

Here's a couple of pics of the build:

Here's a .22 cal can I just built. The baffle is 1 inch x 7 inches. With the outer tube it is 1 1/8 inch in diameter. I made it the same way as the Whisper can above, but of course threaded it at 1/2 x 28.
Here's the completed baffle

After press-fitting the baffle into the tube--no need for welding with a precision fit

Here's a very short video clip of me test firing the .22 suppressor. If you listen closely you can hear the safety click off a few seconds before I fire. This thing is quieter than my pellet gun. Notice my cat in the bottom left of the picture as I shoot over his head:

Here's my latest build. I milled and polished the lower receiver from an 80% blank. I'll probably Duracoat it Flat Dark Earth later but for now it's kind of different. The upper is a 300 AAC Blackout (7.62x35mm) designed to to fire subsonic 220 grain .308 bullets through a suppressor.

The cool thing about 300 Blk is it uses a standard AR15 bolt and magazine so the only thing different is the barrel/barrel extension. It's very fun to shoot with a suppressor but it makes a good deer rifle when firing full power supersonic ammo. Ballistics are very similar to the AK/SKS 7.62x39mm.
