Explosive on the sidelines maybe, but on the field, they're better off. Really need the three backs to be available though for Dallas to have hope. It's called ball control. Brady makes the Patriots running game better. A running game for Dallas would make Romo tolerable with glimpses of exciting.

Dallas has turned into a running team now. Look at the line. The can run block but can't pass block. Romo has been running all 3 games.

Romo has demonstrated from Day 1(three years ago) that he creates when he scrambles. There is nothing new in that material. It is not Williams or the lack of the likes of a TO that has Dallas favoring the run. It's the fact that they have a decent line minus all of Adams miscues(when he doesn't false start, he's good) and some very above average backs. Add to that the inability of Romo to string many consistent games together at the end of the season and most would say that favoring a running game is prudent.

PS. Troy Aikman never had big passing stats. Think Emmit Smith and his fullback(stud, but name escapes me- commentator nicknamed Moose). Sure Michael Irvin was aboard, but defense and running game(clock control) win games when it counts.

End result: Dallas is better off without TO.
