Too much and too little are catching up to me. EPIC tired.
Smart Alex is smart. He took today off from work too so he could recuperate.

That is larger than I would have guessed. Is the old 1020 going out the window because of broadband?

Btw I didn't hear anything. I was super tired. I woke up at 8, asked christina if she wanted to leave at 9, she said no, so I passed out until 10 haha.

I was kidding... I'm sure <1% can support that resolution... I think it's safe to say that 1024x768 is ok, the safe bet is to continue 800x600.

I say 1024x768 still. I agree about the users visiting W3C skewing things, but regardless if 30% of THEIR audience is even 1024x768 still...

I'm very aware of those stats... the problem is that the data comes from the W3C's own server logs... now what type of user visits W3C's site? Developers and other tech-savvy people... the same type that typically run higher resolutions. It skews the results but to what degree, I don't know.
Statistics are important information. What you can read from the statistics below is that most users are using a display with 1024x768 pixels or more, with a color depth of at least 65K colors.
W3Schools is a website for people with an interest for web technologies. This fact indicates that the figures below might not be 100% realistic. The average user might have display screens with a lower resolution.
Anyway, our data, collected from W3Schools' log-files over five years, clearly shows the long and medium-term trends.
