crisis averted. cliff notes:
1. Soon-to-be landlord wants to meet to sign lease and receive security deposit check. Emails me @ 12:43 am, Monday morning (still Sunday to him). Email says "Let me know if you want to meet up tomorrow at lunch to sign and drop off the sec dep check. I'm headed out of town tomorrow night and would love to have this wrapped up before leaving."
2. I read the email Monday morning (work acct), and noting that the email send date was 6/23 (Monday) reply "Tomorrow at lunch sounds great, whenever and wherever is good for you, I'm free until around 2."
3. Soon-to-be landlord arrives at meeting spot on Monday, no sign of me.
4. I arrive at meeting spot on Tuesday, no sign of him.
Luckily, he was oversees on business and didn't rent the place out to another person... I'll be signing the lease tomorrow. Whew.
