Uh oh... State of the Union is calling for a 20% reduction in gasoline use in the next 10 years. This hobby is going to get expensive...

you are actually watching the SOU?

I dont care if you are a democrat or a republican, the current two party system we have always results in stalemates.

The republicans had majority of the senate and house and a republican president and stuff still did not get done. Now we have a majority democrat legislature and a republican president.

I do not want to get onto a politics tangent, especially dems vs rep because that never solves anything. Nothing much got done when Clinton was in office either.

Here is how it is gonig to go until *at least* the next election: A democratic bill will pass both houses to get vetoed by the president. A republican bill will never make it out of the house. After the democratic bill gets vetoed, there will nto be enough democrats for a 2/3 majority to overide the veto.

And isn't it a bit old that every time new members join politics, at whatever level, the first thing they start talking about is "bipartisnship".

They are all crooks. Who make more money than us. And can vote in their own raises. Dammit.

Stepping off my soap box now.

My girl is in politics. I don't have much choice in watching this.. That said, I like to at least know a little bit about what's going on.

Dom, I'm pretty interested in a rear underpan/diffuser. to be honest, real interested. That would help handling at speed.
Not that I need it like Skip does, but I would also be interested in this

I can't stand Webb. Reminds me of pompous 17th century aristocrats. Speaks well, though. Didn't like how he shrugged off the address and basically said, "Now we're(Dems) going to 'stay the course!'"

That said, I didn't agree with everything President Bush said. What little bit I know, I know Israel and Palestine will NEVER live in harmony. That is a pipe dream.

I think both parties have the opportunity to shine, although not necessarily simultaneously. They just can't... they'll be conceived as weak. The president was right about one thing: if ish goes really bad in the Middle East, our economy will be reeling for years, maybe even decades. Hell, it might not ever recover. Sounds apocolyptic, but...
