I watched bits and pieces of it when Hocus Pocus was on commercial. The debates are pointless for the majority of the US. Most already have their minds made up and they are just tuning in to watch their kid beat up the other kid.

Was way too hot. We have had the windows open for a week or so before last night and it was great, but last night just sucked.

So, because I am a CDL Hazmat driver, in order to get recertified to drive, I have to do two things.
1. My DOT medical card was due to expire right around the same as my license. Went to the doc to get a DOT physical. Had to do the whole coughing thing. In case you were wondering, that never gets less awkward. Cost me $125. Got a 1 year card (2 is the max you can get). Only got a one year card not because my health has changed since the last one, but because the rules regarding my health have changed. So, that will $125 annually, instead of bi-annually.
2. In order to renew your license as a Hazmat carrier, you must make an appointment. At this appointment, you must be fingerprinted and a background check must be run. Then you get to take the Hazmat test over again. That part of the CDL manual is about 80 pages long. And you get to pay anther $100 for the privilege.
So, I am out $225, so far this week. Thanks DOT.
