Cheaper and you can keep an eye on the mold.
My thermostat reminds me to check on the wick and will send me e-mail notifications when it is time to replace it.

I know, right? Don't get me wrong - I like me some Monday time off - but this ish really screws with my internal calendar. This weekend was worse than usual because I spent almost all of it away from home. I am just all kinds of out of sorts.
