Just read they sold Coolfont--the WV resort we had a house at from 1986-1997. Actually, they sold it to Freeman Co, in 2005; the president of that company died in a helicopter crash in 2006. The resort sat vacant. The house, being privately owned, were ok, but the restaurant, spa, etc were all shuttered. Then in 2013, they tried to sell all 998 acres for 10 million.
Auction went in July, they split it into 9 parcels. Got 2.7 million for all of them.
All my childhood memories are slowly being sold.
