Have any of you guys played around with 3D printing? If so, what printer are you using and what are your thoughts on ease of use?
I ask because there are more and more 3D printable quadcopter parts coming out every day. Most of it is just mounts for cameras or flight controllers but, in some cases, you can print frames and even props. Basically, the stuff that breaks all the time. Hard to justify a near $1,000 printer just to save +/- $50 here and there on small frame parts and much less on mounts and props (they tend to be just a couple bucks each) but it can save a lot of time being grounded while those parts are on their way.
All just a pipe dream for now but... What the hell... I ain't got nuthin else to do.
