I cannot say that I disagree with you but that is part of what makes this particular watch special. Apparently, they use a particular alloy called Honey Gold that is significantly harder than regular gold (less scratches) but also has a softer appearance. I admit that I don't see it in this particular photo, though.

I can't find a good photo of it on the Internets but I think I get what they mean.

If you put a gold Rolex next to it, you can definitely see it. Although Rolex uses alloys, too, their gold "gold watches" are much more yellow and "brassy" in appearance than this. The Lange is softer. Closer to a rose gold almost.

I think I get it now.

It is definitely a less "in your face" gold, but still too gold for me.
