I automatically cringe when I see "Lucas" and "new" in the same phrase.

It is going to take me a while to get used to the fact that Disney is in charge now.

Sorry for the noob questions, but will the XBOX one S use a different/faster processor? I remember hearing rumors about a new xbox coming out next year.

If there's anything good these days about consoles, it's the "unification" of architectures that should allow backward compatibility with each new console. Since everything is running on INTEL/CISC processors, there's probably very little "porting" required. It's been some time since I compared consoles, but how does the Sony online "experience" compare to xbox? That seemed to be one thing that microsoft had going for it back when the xbox 360 launched.. Obviously that was some time ago and maybe they're both virtually equal..?

Hands down the PSN experience is better and the PS4 UI is more grown-up. But, every one here has an Xbox. So, in the end it comes down to; 1) Do you want to play online with friends? Then buy whatever system they have. 2) Do either platforms have exclusive titles that are "must have" for you? I.e. Forza or Gran Turismo? 3) Do either platform have exclusive hardware that you want to use? I.e. Kinect or PlayStation VR?

I must say I have been super pleased with PlayStation Vue. And the price point is exactly what I feel comfortable paying for TV.

Thx.. That's good to hear because comparing the PS3 to Xbox 360 I'd say the 360 was definitely the better platform in terms of its functionality. Personally I'm not a fan of the XBOX UI, at least as it was on the 360 (my brother has one). It's obnoxious with too many colors but I guess ultimately the games are what matter.

I certainly prefer the PS experience (Gran Turismo) and VR over Kinect. Ultimately I don't or didn't play enough to have that many online friends (played a lot of call of duty years ago).
