This is a good front-end for all the different emulators. Coverflow art for games, etc.

I tried making a NES emulator using a raspberry pi, but could never get the controllers to work right. Haven't touched it in years.
The software has probably come a long way since then. You should give it a shot again?

I still have my modchipped Xbox, but I do most of my casual gaming on my PC anyway. I have a Xbox 360 USB receiver, so I use that as my controller.
Nice! It was a fun machine.. the move to HD everything has kind of made it obsolete, but it's still fun for emulation I'm sure. The worst part I find about getting older is I don't like video games nearly as much as I used to and I'm a lot more picky in terms of what I like..

I think the new VR headsets will be a big step up and make things more immersive.. only downside is it looks like it'll just take a while for them to really take off though (in terms of game dev for them).
Any first person game has what is needed already. It just needs some tweaking for stereoscopic 3D. Also, with VR the performance becomes an issue. I think they want to keep games at or above 60 FPS(?) so, especially for consoles, they are taking out some textures and extra detail for the sake of smooth play.

Yeah they seem to be releasing new versions every so often. So maybe.

I have my old NES, SNES, and N64. I was looking at the 1080p HDMI mod kit for the NES, but no real reason for any of that.

Ya I read about that, which kind of blows, but maybe it's not too bad. I heard about the new PS4v2 to help resolve this problem a bit that'll come with a faster processor. Maybe I should just wait for the ps5 and it'll handle running all the graphics settings on "high" no problemo.
