Which leads to the question of when are they ready? She's started pulling off her diaper herself/refusing to be changed at times, which kind of seems like a hint to me. Did you do a "condensed" potty training regiment (like train your daughter over a long weekend or week) or was it a more gradual approach?
Sounds like its worth a try right now, if it doesn't go well then go back to diapers, if she hates diapers she will put more effort into getting the potty right. They say girls are easier than boys, but every kid if different. I'm no expert though.
