HOA property.
F That. The little good they do is completely overshadowed by the asshattery that they entail.
I'm a proponent of them, at least in my case. Super cheap compared to what they provide.

LOL.. I'm sure there are other cheap alternatives. On a more serious note that does suck but I agree that pine trees are good in the sense that they aren't high maintenance which is good, it just sucks they're right by where you park.

I love the folks that act like trees are the best thing since sliced bread.. they're probably talking about someone else's trees. They're expensive to get trimmed regularly and big ones close to the house pose problems..

That's what the gasoline is for.. I have a couple crepe myrtles at our old TH and I'm not going to lie it crossed my mind to poison them so I don't have to have them trimmed. You can't just cut em down as that's against the HOA.. Poisoning and removing dead trees though, a-ok.

I could deal with the pools. Just not the overbearing Napoleon's.

HOA's are not worth it. When you forfeit control, you are a slave to their demands.

My neighbor has an RV that looks like it just rolled off the set of Christmas Vacation and half a dozen Jeep XJ's and CJ's rusting away to nothing in his yard. I don't mind it so much this time of year but it sucks when the leaves fall off the trees.

I really don't want to be a property Nazi but even I have my limits. Having someone come along and sternly recommend that he clean up some of that crap wouldn't be such a bad thing.

Aren't cars on blocks the state motto?

Srsly, I guess I am weird--I don't have problems asking the neighbors to clean ish up that is in my line of sight.

I am WAY too passive-aggressive for that. Much easier for me to anonymously call the HOA and have them yell at him.
